The use of light fixtures with a concealed light source is a growing trend in many planned communities. This is done with the purpose of minimizing light source pollution and maintaining a dark-sky environment. Within many of the communities which enforce such guidelines, homeowners and developers are required to use lighting fixtures which adhere to strict regulations. These regulations may include some or all of the following:
Light Bulb Visibility—The use of concealed light bulbs or shielded light sources
Light Direction—All light sources may be required to be downward even when concealed.
Light Intensity & Color—The wiring of light fixtures must be in par with approved lamping. (i.e. wattage, luminescence, & color)
Unique Iron Lighting has been manufacturing lighting which meet these guidelines for the last five years. Below some examples of fixtures that we've manufactured with these guidelines in mind.
